Honeymoon Package
A Caribbean honeymoon that will be remembered for a life time.

Days One-Five Be picked up at International airport and be transported to duPlooy’s Jungle lodge in the Cayo District. It is a two-hour drive to duPlooy’s. duPlooy’s is 8 miles off the highway in the jungle right on the Macal River. If your International flight arrives early enough, you can stop at the Belize Zoo on your way to the resort.

You will stay in a private bungalow with king bed, private hot/cold bath, sitting area, coffee maker, small refrigerator and a private porch. Included on the inland portion are meals because you are so remote. You will spend four nights at duPlooy’s. Included is dinner the first night, three meals a day on non-travel days and breakfast on your final day.

You have your choice of three full day tours. Entrance fees and surcharges are not included and they are listed next to the tours below and are per person. : Tours to choose from include Mayan Ruins to Tikal ($70), Caracol ($25), El Pilar/Xunantunich/Cahal Pech known as Triple Ruins ($10). Cave trips are Barton Creek Cave ($5), Chechem-Hah Cave ($26 for 1 3 persons), Flour Camp Cave ($5), Aktun Tunichal Mucknal ($45) There are also jungle river canoe trips, horseback through the jungle, and natural history, medicine trails, butterfly farms and many more to choose from.

On your final day (day five) you can canoe from the lodge to San Ignacio Town, where a driver will meet you with your luggage and transport you to Municipal Airport in Belize City.

Day Five After returning to Belize City, you will fly via small plane to San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye. Ambergris Caye is beautiful sand and palm island located 1/4 mile from the second longest barrier reef in the world. You will spend three nights in a private casita at Victoria House right on the beach. Victoria House is 2 miles from town but you can easily get a taxi to town for $5 each way. Because it is further from town, it gives you a nice remote feel. Your room is a private casita with king bed and private bath, a/c is in the casita or you can open up the door and sleep under mosquito netting and the gentle ocean breeze. Meals are not included in this portion because there are many restaurants to choose from and it is better to try different places and types (you should budget $35 a person/per day for meals).

Included are two trips:

A full day snorkel on a small sailing catamaran takes you to your first stop, Hol Chan Fish Reserve. This fish reserve has been in existence for many years and offers an incredible array of sea life and coral. The reserve is on the inside of the reef so you have nice smooth snorkeling but there is a large cut in the reef. The snorkeling goes from around 3 feet deep into the cut at 60 feet. Keep an eye out for southern stingrays, eagle rays and turtles coming in through the cut. After your snorkel at the fish reserve, you will sail to Caye Caulker. This little island is just a few miles south of Ambergris is very different. More of a backpacker destination, there are many small hotels and restaurants. Explore the island, have lunch at one of the local restaurants (not included) and return back to the sailing catamaran for your return. On your return you will also stop at Shark/Ray Alley. This shallow sandy snorkel, around 8 feet deep, offers large numbers of southern stingrays and nurse sharks. Don't be frightened, they won't hurt you. Watch your guide feed the sharks and rays, try you hand if you are brave enough.

Also included is a private evening sail:

Captain George Eiley, will pick you up at the dock of your hotel and it is off for a beautiful evening sail on the calm water inside the reef. He will serve you a bottle of champagne while you enjoy the cool evening breeze. Your Captain will stop at any restaurant for you to enjoy a wonderful dinner (dinner not included). We recommend either Capricorn or Rendezvous, they are both north of the island. After dinner your Captain sail you back to the dock of your hotel.

Day eight you will fly via small plane from San Pedro back to International Airport

Included are all in country transfers, in country flights, accommodations, tax, service charge, tours as described and meals where stated. Not included are International airfares, entrance fees to sites as stated above, meals on the island or tips to guides.
